About the RoleWe are looking for a Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain reliable server-side systems that power our products. You will work closely with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to develop scalable APIs, improve system performance, and ensure secure, maintainable backend architecture.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
Build scalable and reliable systems with clean, maintainable code.
Work with databases, caching systems, queues, and cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver features.
Optimize application performance, reliability, and security.
Write unit, integration, and API tests.
Troubleshoot production issues and participate in code reviews.
Contribute to technical decisions, architecture discussions, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
Strong experience with backend development in languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, Go, Ruby, or similar.
Experience designing and building RESTful APIs or GraphQL services.
Good understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Understanding of authentication, authorization, security, and system design basics.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Nice to Have
Experience with microservices or distributed systems.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or infrastructure-as-code tools.
Experience with message queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.
Familiarity with observability tools, logging, metrics, and monitoring.
Prior experience in high-scale or high-availability systems.
