The role Introduction We're looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our team and take on a critical role in optimizing and extending our Microsoft Business Central (BC) environment. In this high-impact position, you will contribute to the configuration, customization, and integration of BC to support seamless business operations. You'll play a key role in building robust integrations with third-party applications, managing the underlying infrastructure, and leading our migration to the cloud-based version of BC. This role is ideal for a strong full-stack engineer with expertise in ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Business Central, who thrives on tweaking configurations, deploying updates, and ensuring reliable data flows across our ecosystem. Key Responsibilities What You'll Do Configure, customize, and extend Microsoft Business Central using AL (Application Language) or C/AL, including building and maintaining custom pages, reports, and extensions to meet business needs. Design, develop, and deploy integrations between Business Central and third-party applications via APIs (e.g., OData web services, REST APIs), enabling data synchronization for workflows like inventory, finance, and CRM. Manage and optimize the Microsoft SQL Server database that powers Business Central, ensuring data integrity, performance tuning, high availability, and compliance with best practices. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for efficient deployment, testing, and versioning of BC customizations and extensions. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Lead the planning and execution of our migration from on-premises Business Central to the cloud (SaaS) version, including data migration, configuration transfer, and minimal downtime strategies. Uphold security, reliability, and monitoring standards for BC environments, including role-based access, audit trails, and proactive issue resolution. Participate in on-call rotations as needed to support production systems and contribute to process improvements for faster incident response. Qualifications Requirements Strong proficiency in Microsoft Business Central development, including configuration, extension building, and customization using AL/C/AL. Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server management, including querying, indexing, backup/recovery, and performance optimization. Expertise in CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, PowerShell scripting) for deploying and managing BC updates and extensions. Proven track record in building API-based integrations (RESTful, SOAP, OData) with third-party systems, such as Salesforce, Shopify, or custom apps. A strong product mindset with a focus on user experience, including designing intuitive extensions and workflows within BC. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to break down complex problems into actionable milestones that deliver quick value. Curiosity and drive for continuous learning, especially around Microsoft ecosystem updates and cloud technologies. Familiarity with ERP concepts and business processes (e.g., finance, supply chain) is essential. Senior II Software Engineer - Machine Learning Platform

Data Products & Insights helps Wise turn that data into products, insights, and decisions at scale. Within this area, the Machine Learning Platform (MLP) team builds and maintains the infrastructure that enables data scientists across Wise to develop, deploy, serve, and monitor machine learning models at scale. Our platform powers predictions and decisions across the business - from fraud detection to treasury management to product personalisation - directly impacting how Wise serves millions of customers worldwide. Your mission and role will be building and maintaining a cost efficient and scalable machine learning platform, that is a delight to use and that provides a good engineering and data science experience while shortening the full experimentation feedback loop - a data scientist does not just deploy models fast, but learns fast which model is better. Your input will directly affect how Wise is making decisions and predictions on billions of events. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help us evolve from a collection of tools into a coherent, self-service platform. You don't need previous machine learning experience to succeed in this role. We're looking first and foremost for strong software engineers with significant production backend experience (e.g. Java, Python) , ideally combined with a strong platform or infrastructure engineering background. Familiarity with ML systems is a bonus, and something you can develop on the job. The team you will be joining: Machine Learning Platform The MLP team is part of the Data Products & Insights Squad. We own the infrastructure layer that sits between data scientists and production: model serving, training pipelines, model registry and experiment tracking, feature management, and model monitoring on the line. Our customers are internal - Data Scientists and ML engineers across Wise - and our success is measured by how effectively they can build, deploy, and iterate on models without friction. We are a small, collaborative team that values product thinking, shared ownership, and continuous improvement. We are in the early stages of introducing structured agile practices and treat every process change as an experiment. What You Will Do Build and maintain core ML platform services including model serving infrastructure, training pipelines, and experiment tracking Contribute to the evolution of our platform from individual service offerings towards a coherent, user-driven product Improve platform scalability, reliability, and operability, ensuring our infrastructure can support hundreds of models in production while making pragmatic trade-offs around cost, complexity, and user needs. Improve observability and monitoring across the model lifecycle, helping data scientists understand model health and performance Collaborate with data scientists to understand their workflows, pain points, and needs - treating them as your customers Participate in on-call/support rotation, contributing to platform stability and identifying opportunities to reduce operational toil Help shape the technical and product roadmap by contributing to discovery, spikes (exploratory/investigative work), and architectural decisions Share knowledge across the team, reduce silos, mentor others, and help raise engineering standards through design reviews, code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement. Nice to haves Familiarity with ML platform tooling such as MLflow, Airflow, or similar orchestration and experiment tracking frameworks Familiarity with ML systems and workflows - training, serving, feature engineering, model monitoring.Previous ML experience is useful but not required; you can learn the domain with us.
