Android Engineer

We’re looking for an Android Developer to help us build a reliable, secure, and high-performing SDK that works seamlessly across a wide range of devices.</p> <p>In this role, you will contribute to developing efficient and scalable solutions that integrate smoothly with partner applications, while learning and growing in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p><strong>You’ll help us protect honest people online by:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Contribute to the development and maintenance of our Android SDK, focusing on performance, security, and usability</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend engineers</li> <li>Support efforts to ensure compatibility across a variety of Android devices (low-end to high-end)</li> <li>Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code</li> <li>Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality</li> <li>Assist in debugging issues and resolving performance bottlenecks</li> <li>Stay up to date with Android development best practices and emerging technologies</li> <li>Contribute to improving development workflows, including testing and release processes</li> </ul> <p><strong>You are the right future Veriffian for the job if you have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience as an Android Developer with hands-on work in Kotlin and/or Java</li> <li>Familiarity with Android frameworks and building mobile applications or SDK features</li> <li>Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and their integration</li> <li>Experience with testing (unit or integration) and debugging</li> <li>Understanding of mobile app architecture and best practices (e.g. MVVM, clean architecture – exposure is enough)</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn</li> <li>Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>You’re an especially awesome match if you have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Exposure to Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)</li> <li>Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines</li> <li>Experience with performance optimisation or working across different Android devices</li> <li>Any exposure to cross-platform tools (e.g., React Native or Flutter)</li> <li>Awareness of accessibility and inclusive design principles</li> </ul> </div> <div class="p-rich_text_section"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Why Veriff?</strong></div> <div class="p-rich_text_section">&nbsp;</div> <div class="p-rich_text_section"> <div class="p-rich_text_section">We are the preferred identity verification platform partner for the world’s most innovative growth-driven organizations helping conveniently verify and safeguard users anywhere in the world.
