The role We are looking for a Senior Operations Analyst who is passionate about our mission of Money Without Borders to join our team in Tallinn ! You'll partner with our Payment Operations organisation to help drive data-driven decisions that would improve the quality of our data models, and improve the way we forecast our operational capacity. The Payment Operations organisation is responsible for ensuring that our customers’ payments flow smoothly. The organisation focuses on resolving issues surrounding the movement of funds, to deliver a fast and convenient payment experience for our customers. As a Senior Payment Operations Analyst, you will be driving our analytics effort to build and optimise data models that are used to identify operational actions and customer friction points in the payment processing journey. You will also work on building an operational forecasting model to predict capacity based on the future workload demand. This is a great opportunity for an analyst that has strong product thinking, understands customer pain points and is passionate about data modelling and building data pipelines. You will also be part of a wider team of 150+ analysts that you can collaborate with on cross-team projects, have knowledge sharing sessions and bring ideas on how we can improve analytics across Wise. Here's how you'll be contributing to the team: Collaborate with various senior stakeholders in the organisation and effectively communicate your insights into real change for our customers. Join us in working towards our mission. Support the organisation’s drive to make data-driven decisions through improving the quality of our data assets through building scalable and efficient data pipelines. In addition, build the organisation’s confidence in planning future capacity through developing a robust forecasting model. Proactively contribute to, own, create and track key metrics and results for the organisation, keeping them accountable throughout the quarter. For example, understanding the forecast accuracy, and the data health of our pipelines. Expose the vast amount of data available to the organisation in a meaningful and actionable way and support other teams in discovering insights from data through meaningful reports and effective visualisations. Qualifications You're placed in Tallinn, Estonia; or are willing to relocate here (please be aware we'll be able to only support with right to work documentation, but not with relocation support). You've strong experience with SQL and building data pipelines. You're comfortable working with complex data models and are able to independently design and implement new models. You've strong quantitative skills . Ideally a background in statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, analytics, computing, or any other scientific areas. You've strong communication skills and an ability to translate business insights into persuasive analytical narratives that are simple to understand and that drives customer impact. You've an ability to structure business problems with minimal supervision and prioritise problems collaboratively with stakeholders. You take ownership of your own impact on our customers . You're proactive. You go beyond just the analysis and get things done. You've experience with data visualisation tools (Looker, PowerBI, Tableau etc.) and demonstrate confident storytelling ability with data. Nice-to-have skills: You've experience working in a FinTech area, specifically in the payments space (domestic, cross-border, cards, etc.) You've prior experience working with forecasting, and working in operational analytics You've experience with user-facing products and data You've strong Python and/or dbt skills Sounds like the next step for you? You will take ownership of planning and analyzing our credit and rental portfolios, assessing product economics and translating financial and market developments into clear insights for management.</p> <p>Working across our markets and closely with Finance, Treasury, Credit Risk &amp; Control, Commercial and Product teams, you will help us understand<strong> </strong>where and how to grow profitably. Your analysis and recommendations will support decisions on portfolio growth, product mix, pricing and the efficient use of capital.</p> <p>This is a highly visible role for someone who combines strong financial and analytical skills with commercial thinking and is comfortable turning complex information into recommendations for senior management.</p> <p><strong>What will you be doing?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Formulate strategic plans for credit and rent portfolios across the Inbank group, translating growth ambitions into forecasts for new sales, portfolio development and product mix.</li> <li>Prepare short- to medium-term forecasts as well as 3-year strategic plans. Work closely with Treasury, Commercial and Product teams to connect financial planning with funding, credit risk, pricing and market realities.</li> <li>Analyse product-level economics and profitability, identify emerging trends and highlight opportunities or areas requiring management attention.</li> <li>Use measures such as Economic Value Added (EVA) and other risk-adjusted profitability metrics to assess portfolio and product performance, including risk-return and capital-efficiency considerations</li> <li>Model alternative growth, pricing, product mix and market scenarios to understand their impact on portfolio performance and profitability.</li> <li>Turn complex financial and portfolio data into concise written commentary, executive-level insights and actionable recommendations for management.</li> <li>Provide recommendations on portfolio growth, product mix and pricing, helping identify potential performance issues early and supporting corrective actions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What would help you succeed in this role?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Around 3 years of an experience in portfolio management, financial modelling, planning and analysis, capital planning, financial management or a similar analytical role within banking, fintech or financial services.</li> <li>An understanding of credit portfolio dynamics, banking or lending economics, product profitability and balance sheet drivers.</li> <li>Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities, with the ability to understand the drivers behind portfolio and financial performance.</li> <li>Familiarity with risk-adjusted performance concepts such as EVA, RAROC or similar measures would be an advantage.</li> <li>Confidence working with large datasets and analytical tools.
